Skip to main contentHow Odds Are Created
Layerbet’s odds are generated using a hybrid approach:
External Oracles:
Initial odds for each event are sourced from reputable third-party data providers that provide us with an odds feed.
Automated Market Making (AMM):
Odds are dynamically adjusted on-chain, based on the volume and distribution of bets in the liquidity pool.
Continuous Updates:
Odds are updated in real time as new bets are placed or as external data changes, ensuring fair and transparent pricing.
Layerbet supports three major odds formats to accommodate user preferences:
- EU (Decimal) Odds. For example: 2.50
- UK (Fractional) Odds: For example: 3/2
- US (Moneyline) Odds: For example: +150 or -200
By default, Layerbet displays odds in the EU (decimal) format.
Users can change the displayed odds format at any time in the platform’s settings.
To do so:
- Open the Settings menu, accessible in the middle section next to “All | Today | Tomorow | 1h | 3h | 6h by clicking on “⚙️”.
- Select your preferred format: EU (Decimal), UK (Fractional), or US (Moneyline).
- The interface will immediately update to display odds in your chosen format.
Your selected odds format will be saved for future sessions unless you change it again.
